Drug Addition
- Drug Addition Options for All Isolated Organ Systems
These options for drug addition can be added to any isolated organ system where flow is measured or calculated and a drug must be added in a certain ratio.
There are two options:
- Perfusion flow-controlled drug addition with syringe pump: allows a drug addition proportional to the measured flow in order to maintain a stable drug concentration at any (constant pressure) flow rate. Requires HSE software to read and calculate the flow to control the syringe pump flow.
- Perfusion drug addition with syringe pump: allows drug addition at a set flow rate.

- Flow Measurement
Flow Measurement Options for IH-SR and IH-5 in Langendorff and Working Heart Modes
Flow measurement can be accomplished in a functional IH system using two methods:
- Indirect measurement by controlling the pump sped of a roller pump (SCP controller)
- Direct measurement with ultrasound transit time technique (TTFM-2 module)
Required components are included in the IH-SR or IH-5 Core Systems and the selected IH-SR or IH-5 Core Systems Options

- LVP Measurement
Left Ventricular Pressure (LVP) Measurement Option for IH-SR and IH-5 Working Heart
Easily allows introduction of a tip pressure catheter directly into the left ventricle via the adapter port and the aorta, rather than via apical puncture.

- Metabolic Studies
Cannulating Options for IH-SR and IH-5 (for Effluate Collection)
Cannulating options for effluate collection from an IH-SR or IH-5 functional system for metabolic studies, sampling the effluate for analysis, or for continuous pO2, pH, pCO2 measurements. Preparation dish and collection funnel available for mouse heart.

- Monophasic Action Potential and ECG Measurement
Single-Lead ECG and MAP Measurement for IH-SR and IH-5 Langendorff or Working Heart
For single-lead ECG and MAP measurements on functional IH-SR or IH-5 Langendorff or working heart systems. ECG and MAP are recorded to be analyzed together.
The Monophasic Action Potential (MAP) electrodes work based on the principle of Franz et al whereby firm, stable contact of the MAP electrode results in a high-quality MAP. MAP recording has been utilized in cardiac physiology for decades as it allows regional assessment of the electrophysiological state of the intact heart.
For addiitonal options available for the IH-5 system, please see Multi-Lead ECG and MAP Measurement Options for IH-5 Langendorff or Working Heart.

Multi-Lead ECG and MAP Measurement Options for IH-5 Langendorff or Working Heart
For multi-lead ECG and MAP measurements on functional IH-5 Langendorff or working heart systems, up to 12 ECG leads are combined with up to 8 MAP electrodes.

Input boxes with circular MAP holders are available for various configurations.
For other options available for the IH-5 system, please see Single-Lead ECG and MAP Measurement Options for IH-SR or IH-5 Langendorff or Working Heart.

Input Boxes for Multi-ECG and Multi-MAP Measurements on IH-5
Input Boxes for multi-ECG and multi-MAP measurements for use with the PLUGSYS EGM, WLA and MAPM modules. Multi-lead MAP and ECG options available with circular MAP holder included.
If you already have a circular MAP holder or the necessary input box, any items can be also purchased separately. Please see Item Listing.
See Full Description for details on the appropriate input box for your ECG and MAP measurements.

Oxygenation of Foaming Solutions
Oxygenating System Options for IH-SR, IH-5 and UP-100IH (for Foaming Solutions)
Choose this option if you are using buffer supplemented with albumin, fatty acids, washed erythrocytes, or other foaming additives.

- Pacing
Pacing Option for IH-SR Langendorff and Working Heart
For addition of pacing to functional IH-SR Langendorff and Working Heart systems. For small rodent hearts (mouse, rat and guinea pig).

Pacing Option for IH-5 Langendorff and Working Heart
For addition of pacing to functional IH-5 Langendorff and Working Heart systems. For small rodent hearts (mouse, rat and guinea pig).

- pO2, pCO2 and pH Measurement
Measurement of pO2, pH, pCO2 for All Isolated Organ Systems
The Universal Perfusion Solution Monitor permits precise continuous or discontinuous measurement in liquid media or perfusate of these three key parameters: pO2, pH and pCO2.
It can be used in any isolated organ system: heart, lung, liver, kidney or other organs. It also can be combined with any self-built perfusion system by adding a suitable PLUGSYS housing for the listed modules.

- Pressure-Volume Measurement
Pressure-Volume Loop Measurement Option for IH-SR and IH-5 Working Heart
Easily allows introduction of a pressure-volume loop catheter directly into the left ventricle via an adapter port and the aorta.

- Temperature Measurement
Temperature Measurement Addition for All Isolated Organ Systems
Measure perfusate temperature in any isolated perfused organ system in one of two ways:
- Using the PLUGSYS Thermocouple Amplifier Module for continuous recording of temperature
- Using a handlheld thermometer showing digital display, no continuous recording possibility

- Filtration of Recirculated Perfusate
Addition for Filtration of Recirculated Perfusate for All Isolated Organ Systems
Includes:
- In-line Holder for disc particle filter, Diameter = 47 mm
- Polypropylene Particle Filter, 45 µm, Diameter = 47 mm (pack of 100)
